On Sunday 20th August the Caesarean Cycling Club held a 30 Mile Time Trial “Reverse Round The Island”. The start was at Millbrook and the course took in St Aubin, Five Mile Road, up L’Etacq Hill, across the north of the Island to Gorey, then along the coast road to the finish on the Esplanade.

Twenty riders started this hard race. Once again Don Ecobichon won the senior event and also put up the fasted time of the day. Doug Lidster took the junior prize and Miss C Liron the only lady to start, took the ladies prize. D Cook, one of the more experienced senior riders gained second place again this week and seems to be finding lost form. D Le Brocq proved Lidster’s closest rival in the junior event, finishing two minutes behind him, with K de la Haye a further two minutes behind in third place.
