12 Hour Endurance Ride

J P Richardson who won the Caesarean Cycling Club’s 12-hour endurance test on Sunday now has three wins in this event to his credit. He cycled over 225 miles at an average speed of almost 19 m.p.h. Close behind him was 18 year old G.Audoire who rode more than 220 miles at just over 18 m.p.h. P.Le Gallis another of the clubs young members did 196.5 at more than 16 m.p.h. Both Audoire and Le Gallis were riding in the event for the first time. So was G Ching who finished forth with 184 miles, Pallot and Fleming came fifth and sixth respectively.
E Le Huquet retired with backache when leading at 130 miles and M.Sallai dropped out after riding for 9.5 hours. W Lock fell out after 46 miles. Richardson holds the record for the event with 240 miles at an average of 20 m.p.h.
