30 Mile Time Trial

As a change from the inclement weather under which recent events have been held the 30 mile time trial held on Sunday morning was run in nearly ideal conditions. Starting at 8am Miss D.Richmond was the first of 17 riders away the others following at minute interviews.. The start was made from a few yards east of the Esplanade traffic lights, the course going anti-clockwise around the Island finishing alongside the Coronation Park on Victoria Avenue. This course is one of many new ones selected and measured by Messrs, B,Hubert and J.P.Richardson. On behalf of the clubs racing committee they have been busy all season providing suitable alternative courses. This has been made necessary by the placing of the traffic lights on the Esplanade and at St.Brelade, the drainage work on the Dicq corner. Miss C.Dowsing won the ladies event and A.De.Gruchy the junior
