Ten Mile Low Gear Time Trial

16 riders set out at minute intervals on a ten mile Course at 9 a.m taking the coast road to Grouville Memorial and turning to take the same route back to the start and finishing point. Taking part in the race were two of the clubs veterans. Owing to early morning fog riders had to take precautions on corners for the roads remained wet throughout the race. S.Harrington one of the two girls taking part came within six seconds of the girls record set by P Baverstock in 1935; her time was exactly 30 minutes.
