Wally Rowe was back on form to win the first 50 of the season organized by the Caesarean Cycling Club on Sunday morning. This he did in two hours eight minutes an average speed of 23.36 mph and with nearly 5 minutes in hand over Torty Hubert who was riding his first such trial. Of the 11 riders who started at 7am, seven finished. The retirement of Stan Perchard, J Wardle and B Coutanche being due to punctures.
